Dynamics analysis of RR interval behavior and traditional measures of
heart rate variability were compared between postinfarction patients
with and without vulnerability to ventricular tachyarrhythmias in a
case-control study. Short-term fractal correlation of heart rate
dynamics was better than traditional measures of heart rate
variability in differentiating patients with and without life-
threatening arrhythmias.
